Born and raised in Soweto, after completing her National Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography at the University of Johannesburg in 2012, she spent five years working in the healthcare field as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
However, her curiosity about the legal aspects of patient care sparked a new passion, leading her to pursue an LLB degree from the University of South Africa.
Making a meaningful impact
Balancing work and studies was challenging, but her fascination with law only deepened.
She completed her articles and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, which empowered her to establish her own law firm. This journey has been marked by hard work, determination, and a willingness to learn.
In 2024, Modise was appointed as a Professional Conduct Committee Member at the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), which afforded her the opportunity to integrate her healthcare background with her legal expertise.
This milestone has enabled Modise to make a meaningful impact, and she is grateful for the opportunity.
“My journey serves as a testament to the power of pursuing one’s passions, regardless of age or background. With determination and hard work, anyone can achieve their dreams.
