PPE Mart (Pty) Ltd is a 100% black-owned entity founded in 2022 that supplies personal protective equipment (PPE) to both the private and public sectors in South Africa.
With headquarters in Centurion and a branch in eMalahleni, the business is led by a pair of founders – Busani Mdluli and Bareng Madubanya – who possess extensive experience within the industry, particularly in branding, print, and promotional products.
PPE Mart’s promise to clients is that all projects are guaranteed to be professionally handled, all the way from concept to final product.

Meet the founders
Mdluli and Madubanya met in 2005 when graphic designer Madubanya joined a promotional gifts company where Mdluli was already working as a packer. They quickly formed a strong bond when Mdluli was promoted to quality controller, as every design or artwork that Madubanya created would end up on Mdluli’s desk for review before mass production.
One key aspect that made the pair click was their shared belief in dedication to the cause and hard work. Even when faced with challenging and stressful projects, they would make sure to find a solution, challenging each other and their abilities to overcome all rough patches.
The pair later went their separate ways after some years of working together, but it did not take long for them to reunite to bring PPE Mart to life in 2022.
Madubanya is a multi-media and design professional with a B-Tech degree from the University of Johannesburg. His career has seen him work as a graphic designer, desktop publisher and electronic communications officer at several small and large corporates within South Africa. His experience since 2005 includes design, print, multi-media, photography, videography and more.
Madubanya has developed excellent skills in business administration over years of freelancing and is armed with a strong understanding of customer relations. He has the ability to perform under pressure, use initiative and attend to detail – all of which are vital in the safety game.
In addition to PPE Mart, Busani Mdluli is a seasoned entrepreneur who obtained his experience at a company called O’Kagans. He started there as a packer and rose to production manager. He is currently in his fourth year of a Marketing degree with Damelin. While at Damelin, he has obtained a diploma in Storekeeping and Stock Control, a diploma in Purchasing and Supply, a diploma in Strategic and Logistics Management and a certificate in Business Management.
Identifying gaps in the market is his passion. Finding the best products for their customers pleases him, having professional conversations with potential clients stimulates growth in him, and above all, building a legacy and wealth is his dream.
